I just had to include this wonderful tree in my photograph album. This gnarled oak is probably between 300 and 600 years old. What has it seen during that time, how many stories could it tell, no one shall ever know. The grey areas on the butt and the upper limbs are due to the mosses and lichens residing there.The picture does not really do the tree justice, it is huge, one of many very large trees in the immediate area.
