How it used to look

The Morant Arms public house.

Built by the village squire near our railway station. This listed old inn is now in the process of being converted into flats after the brewery who owned it decided it was surplus to requirements

The council allowed planners to move in  and passed plans for 36 homes.

This means the attractive buildings which are situated at the rear of the inn will be converted, along with the public house, into more living accommodation. and a block of flats will be built in the garden.  Access is virtually non existent and will prove a traffic hazard for anyone using the road nearby.

How it looks now, thanks to the council.

More Cramming. Unwanted and totally unnecessary, another blot on the landscape, so much for the New Forest becoming  a National Park. If this is what it means, then I for one have had enough already.

Once there was a garden.
